I recently acquired a box of relief and intaglio (photogravure?) printing plates for stained glass window designs and afew architechtural rendersing that include stained galss windows. The images appear to be very old in style (art deco and earlier). They appear to be images from a catalog (come have catalog numbers as part of the image). I was told that they came from the former Milwaukee Art Glass studio. I can't find anything about such a studio online, but found this forum in my search. Does anyone out there know anything about this studio? Or art glass catalog printing plates? I would be interested in finding out the significance of the plates and the images on them and, hopefully, the history of thier source. I am a print maker and I plan to print the plates to see the images better. I have over 100 plates. Thanks for you help!
