What has happened to all the old messages and responces in the old forum.
Also, does everyone need to re-register to this new froum?
Is there a spell check with this program?

Since this is not a new version of the forum from the Member’s-Only website, but an entirely different forum that is open to both members and nonmembers of the Stained Glass Association of America, none of the messages or responses from the Member's Only Forum have been reproduced here. I hope that relatively soon there will be a collection of posts that are unique to this open forum and a large number of forum users who are interested in architectural art glass.

By that same token, since this forum is entirely new and is not a part of the SGAA's Member's Only Website, it is not possible to "re-register" since initial registration has only been open for a matter of days. However, unlike the Member’s Only Website, with this forum registration is open to anyone with an interest in architectural glass art and anyone – member or not – can register with full participation rights.

Also, unlike the Member's Only Website, registration for this forum is an entirely online (and immediate) process and the registration does not need to be approved before the registrant can begin using the site. As long as a registrant does not abuse the site (posting spam, being abusive to other users, and similar misuses), this forum is open to and welcomes anyone who wants to discuss architectural art glass with others.

There is no spell check at this time. A commonly used work-around is to use a program like Word to compose a post and then copy and paste the post into the forum dialogue box once spelling has been checked. This method also offers the happy side effect of insuring that if the connection has timed out or if there is a problem in registering the post with the database, that there is a copy of it in another piece of software so that the entire composition is not lost.
