Does anyone have any suggestions or formats for a legal contract for doing commissions? I realize I will need to have my attorney make a final contract for me but stained glass is such a specialized area, I was hoping to find something to go off of. I want to have all my bases covered. As a studio owner, I have been doing commissions for 8 years now. I have yet to have any problems but I am doing very large projects and I want to be prepared. I know other studios must have legal contracts. Is there an industry standard or somewhere for me to look?

There are sample contracts in the SGAA Referace Manual.
You also may want to contact a lawyer in your town that deals with business contracts. If you do not have one or know of one, you can call the local bar association for a referal. Check the yellow pages for the phone number.
Nolo.com is a place on line that offers some legal paperwork but it is too general for this purpose.
